Bird Hunters is a community of golfers who come together to compete, connect, and enjoy the game. Whether you are a seasoned player or just getting started, our league offers a welcome and competitive environment.

The story of the Bird Hunters Golf League begins in 2015—back when it was know as The First Tee Club. What started as a small, organized group of golfers at Henson Creek Golf Course quickly became something much bigger than anyone expected. In that first year, Henson Creek helped guide the matches and managed the league, giving it a solid foundation. But the turning point came when Geoff, Phil, Gmix, and Skip stepped in and decided to take ownership of the vision. With just 16 dedicated players, they committed to building something special. It didn’t take long before the league grew to 72 members—enough to run full shotgun starts and bring a new level of energy and competition to the course.

But Bird Hunters was never just about numbers. It was about the experience.

From competitive rounds and organized tournaments to banquets, trophies, and celebrations, the league created moments that players looked forward to every season. What started as a group of golfers evolved into something deeper—a brotherhood. Members weren’t just playing together; they were learning from one another, sharpening their skills, sharing knowledge, and pushing each other to improve.

More importantly, they built a community.

Through a strong and lasting partnership with Henson Creek Golf Course, the league established a home—one rooted in consistency, camaraderie, and respect for the game.
